Preventing Child Abuse Is Everyone’s Job – Partnership with Trier and Company Announced
World of Children and Trier and Company Partner to Protect Children from Abuse
Dublin, CA. – March 11, 2015 — World of Children is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with Trier and Company to raise awareness and funding for programs that protect children from abuse. “The partnership between World of Children and Trier and Company will help us move towards realizing our vision of a world where all children are free from neglect, exploitation, and violence,” said Lynn Naylor, Executive Director of World of Children.
Both organizations note the negative impacts children suffer when families suffer from job loss, foreclosures, or other adverse effects of poor economic conditions here in the USA or abroad. The additional stress in families’ lives can cause increases in child abuse or neglect. In the worst situations, children end up alone and vulnerable to exploitation.
“Protecting children from abuse of all kinds is a serious societal issue and one that all of us need to address,” stated Beth Trier, Managing Director of Trier and Company. “We can do that by supporting organizations like World of Children that work on behalf of children. We are proud to offer a leadership gift of $1,000 to World of Children and welcome others to join us”
Naylor and Trier both believe the partnership is a natural fit given their organizations’ shared commitment to children’s welfare. The partnership will educate stakeholders in the technology community about the issue and raise funds for World of Children’s Child Protection Award.
