A pediatrician in the United Kingdom, David Southall, M.D., has worked to provide emergency health care to aid sick and neglected children in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia. Southall established the humanitarian aid agency, Child Advocacy International, to help neglected and other disadvantaged children who are suffering in war-torn countries. He has organized additional programs to assist children and their families in coping with the effects of the armed conflicts in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Nicaragua and Uganda. Southall is also the chairman of the working party of UNICEF in the United Kingdom.
