From The Irish Examiner: ‘The effects of Chernobyl will always be with us’

“Standing in the shadow of the nuclear plant’s devastated reactor number four in Northern Ukraine, Chris O’Leary urged people to continue their support for Irish humanitarian efforts in the poverty-stricken region.

His delegation’s historic visit, organised by Adi Roche’s Chernobyl Children International, marks the start of a series of commemorative events being planned by CCI for the 30th anniversary in April of the worst nuclear accident in history.
