Your Donations at Work

World of Children Honorees are provided with cash grants that are appropriated over the course of three years. Sponsoring a project means your gift will cover costs for up to one year.

Honoree projects range from $20,000 to $90,000. Choose a current project that interests you, and once you’ve made your gift, we’ll work with you to pair your sponsorship with an appropriate project. Your sponsorship will be listed on our website and acknowledged in our public updates about this work.

When you support World of Children, you are investing in the future of a child. For more information, contact us at [email protected]

Give the Gift of Literacy

In 2000 when Maureen Rover read that only 30% of 3rd - 5th graders in New York City passed the state's reading exam, she decided to change the statistics. The Reading Team in Harlem, NY aims to boost dismal literacy rates and instill a lifelong love for reading in children from disadvantaged communities.

This project funds a brand new "Head Start" program for children as young as four years old, replicating The Reading Team's current program for preschoolers to improve development rates for children pre-kindergarten. This project will fund supplies, educators and programs for two full classrooms of children ages three and four.
