Anthony Meyer
Anthony E. Meyer is the President of Ocean Road Advisors, Inc., a privately-held “family office” investment management company he founded in 2005 that manages a portfolio across public and private equities, hedge funds, real estate and venture capital. He also serves as the Chairman of privately-held Meyer and Co., LLC, a diversified merchant banking firm based in New York City.
From 1994 through 2001, Meyer was a Managing Director at Lazard Frères & Co. LLC, a leading global, private investment bank. Prior to joining Lazard, from 1984 to 1993, Meyer was a General Partner of Trammell Crow Company. In 2007, he co-founded the American Academy (TAA), a fully-accredited online private high school and educational services company. In 2004, Meyer co-founded Extend Health, Inc. to serve Medicare-eligible retirees and their corporate sponsors.
Mr. Meyer serves on the Board of Trustees for the City University of New York’s William E. Macaulay Honors College is a member of the Board of Governors of the American Jewish Committee, a Director of Dr. Mehmet Oz’s HealthCorps and a member of the Young President’s Organization. He is a Board member of the Geneva-based UN, the former Vice Chair of the World of Children, and a past Board member of the Young Leadership Cabinet of the United Jewish Appeal and The Educational Alliance. In 1982, Meyer graduated from Harvard College as a John Harvard Scholar, with a magna cum laude degree in Economics. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School with honors in 1984.
