2017 BOARD OF GOVERNORS’ AWARD
Former World of Children Board of Governors
Former EVP, Brand and Creative Services, Victoria’s Secret Direct
Ann O’Malley has held executive positions at some of the top fashion and beauty brands in the world, most recently with Victoria’s Secret as executive vice president of brand and creative services. Ann’s dedication to philanthropy inspired her to create the Victoria’s Secret Supermodel Cycle, an event that raised more than $1.5 million for cancer research.
A child advocate for decades, Ann has volunteered her time with World of Children for more than 15 years, lending her marketing expertise, co-chairing the NYC Annual Awards Ceremony, and serving on the Board since 2010. She has volunteered her time to travel with Kay and Harry to Cambodia to see the work of Honoree Kenro Izu, who provides free life-saving medical care to children. In addition, Ann and her son Timothy, an accomplished photographer, traveled to Rwanda this summer t o document a new training program created by Honoree Jessica Markowitz to support young girls’ economic futures.
Ann’s strong commitment to community service includes donating her time to Artworks NYC, an educational organization that provides public school children with a guided introduction to fine arts through workshops and museum visits. And her vision, warmth, spirit of generosity and boundless energy have all contributed greatly to our mission in unlocking the future for children.
