World of Children funds, elevates and educates some of the world’s bravest heroes who are running high-impact programs to protect, nurture, educate and heal the world’s most vulnerable children.
Since 1998, World of Children has dedicated more than $14 million in grants led by more than 120 Honorees working in over 60 countries. We are the only global recognition and funding program that exclusively focuses on a broad range of children’s issues including health, education, safety and human rights.
Ambassador Board members will be required to attend one in-person governing meeting held the first Friday in November and 2 – 3 telephonic meetings. Additional committee meetings will be held in NYC in the early evening and will often include bites, drinks and time for networking. Attendance is recommended for those who live locally.
The Ambassador Board goal for fiscal year 2019-2020 is to raise $60,000 in support of current projects funded by World of Children. This goal will be achieved through the board’s combined efforts of event sponsorships, event ticket sales and fundraising opportunities.
Throughout the year, Ambassador Board members will host small-scale fundraising events and be asked to participate in or create individual fundraising opportunties such as share-your-day campaigns, retail partnerships, employee giving, personal donations and event attendance to help reach their financial goal.
